Justin Rolfe-Redding

Justin Rolfe-Redding is a doctoral candidate under Professor Ed Maibach.  His research has addressed topics in the social science of climate change such as the psychology of hope, the role of political identity and values, and the effects of news coverage, social identity framing, and past behavior on attitudes and further behavior.  His work has been published in several peer-reviewed and invited venues, including Communication Research, Public Understanding of Science, Oxford Bibliographies and the recent Routledge Handbook of Environment and Communication.  Justin has conducted research for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, National Park Service, and National Wildlife Federation, among others.  He received a master’s degree in Communication from the University of Washington and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Chicago.
