Elizabath Ban Rohring

Elizabeth is a part-time PhD student in the Department of Communication at George Mason University. Her main research interests are understanding how people process climate change information and who they consider trusted sources of climate change information. She also is the Director of Integrated Communication for NOAA Sea Grant. Prior to starting her doctoral studies, Elizabeth worked as a Sea Grant Marine Outreach and Extension agent in the U.S. Virgin Islands and then as the Senior Ocean Science Educator at the Smithsonian’s Museum of Natural History. She holds a Master of Environmental Management from Yale University and received her bachelor’s degree in philosophy from William Smith College. When Elizabeth is not busy with NOAA or GMU, she is usually asleep.
